interactive, actionable workshops

We create training agendas using acting techniques, comedy principles, and research. Our belief is that professionals learn by doing, rather than just listening to information.

Our team gets participants on their feet and practicing their new skills in the moment. Participants walk away ready to take action. No matter the training topic, we give employees the tools to be more confident, creative, and charismatic, while having fun and collaborating with their colleagues.

coursework created just for you

All trainings are customized to meet the needs and goals of your employees. Workshops are tailored to your office environment, meaning you'll know how to actually use these skills in the workplace.

Unlike traditional improv groups, which focus on responding in the moment and inventing new material, we concentrate on addressing the talking points, presentations, and internal and external meetings that you have to deal with every day. (But don’t worry; there’s a little improv, too.)

expertise tackling tough topics

public speaking

Public speaking is an essential tool for any professional, yet one of the biggest fears of the average person. In this workshop, employees boost confidence, enhance vocal and physical delivery, overcome presentation pitfalls, and gain skills for engaging their audience with intention and creativity.

effective communication

Because every interaction depends on a person’s ability to convey ideas and concepts to another, skilled communicators take responsibility for getting their message across in the way they intend. In this workshop, employees take control of how their messages are delivered, learn to listen actively to ensure they understand others, and gain tools for noticing when a conversation is going awry and setting it back on track.

unconscious bias & conscious Inclusion

Having a work environment that respects all individuals and encourages differences is a corporate imperative. In this experiential, discussion-driven workshop, participants will deepen their ability to rewire their biases and create strategies for increasing inclusion as a team.

women in leadership

Female employees are faced with a myriad of challenges in the workplace (the pay gap, the likability penalty, being more frequently interrupted), which can hold them back from reaching higher leadership levels within their organizations. With this workshop, empower your employees to advocate for themselves with confidence, handle micro-aggressions productively, and uplift fellow female colleagues.

male allies

Discussions about combatting gender bias often leave male employees out of the conversation, typically placing the burden of change on women and the blame on men. In this workshop, male employees take responsibility for promoting gender equality, while learning how to support their female and marginalized colleagues.

productive confrontations

Unresolved conflict affects decision-making, productivity, and motivation meanwhile, productive confrontations fix problems, build trust, and boost respect and understanding. With this workshop, companies empower employees to hold colleagues accountable for poor actions, resolve issues, and ultimately strengthen relationships.

emotional intelligence

Emotional intelligence is one of the strongest indicators of career success; 90% of high performers demonstrate a facility with EQ. In this workshop, participants develop skills for recognizing and managing their emotions, and positively influencing their relationships of colleagues and clients.

feedback

Companies that implement regular feedback have higher levels employee engagement, increased performance and productivity, and lower turnover rates; however, most people don't like to give or receive negative feedback. In this workshop, employees learn how to deliver feedback in both honest and caring ways, and accept it without losing self-confidence or creating conflict.

storytelling

Stories help us connect with, engage, and positively persuade others, as they activate segments of the brain in ways that dry data points do not. This workshop gives participants tools for telling stories their audience will care about, and helps them to curate an arsenal of authentic stories that can be used in their roles at work.

pitching

Research shows that consumers make purchasing decisions based on feelings rather than facts. This workshop teaches employees to deliver their pitch effectively by tapping into the listener's emotions, establishing trust, and clearly communicating a call-to-action.

creativity & collaboration

Creativity and collaboration are vital to problem solving, with research showing that collaborative work environments are five times as likely to be high performing. In this workshop, participants cultivate a creative mindset and connect as a group through fun, high-energy, team-bonding activities that will boost creativity as well as internal communication.

managers

50% of employees who leave their jobs cite bad managers as the reason, while successful managers who set clear priorities, hold employees accountable, and are accessible and supportive have teams that are 30% more engaged. In this (series of) experiential workshop(s), managers hone communications skills necessary for leading their teams, including setting expectations, coaching and delivering feedback, managing conflict, and driving inclusion.

sexual harassment prevention

A common critique of sexual harassment trainings is that they fail to get to the root of the problem: preventing harassment from happening in the first place. In this interactive respect training, rather than being quizzed about procedures or simply checking off legal boxes, participants learn how to make others feel safe, better understand boundaries and consequences, and see the issues from multiple perspectives.

create your own!

If you have specific communication needs not listed above, we'll work with you to create a brand new workshop. After a brief consultation, we'll design a workshop with exercises created to meet your needs.
